Reg’d the 12’th day of July 1777 at 11 oClock in the fore Noon
[Body of memorial:]
A Mem’l of an Indented Deed bearing date the fourth day of March one thousand seven hundred and seventy five and made between Jn’o 3 Ferguson of Farator [Farriter] in the [parish of Killeeshil,] County of Tyrone Gent. of the one part and the Rev’d W’m Nixon of the City of Dublin nephew to the S’d [said] Jn’o Ferguson of the other part
… Reciting that the said Jn’o Ferguson being intitled by virtue of a Grant or Conveyance 4 to him made by his father Andrew Ferguson to one moiety [half] of the Lands of Farator in the County of Tyrone afores’d which said Andrew held by Article or lease from the late Tho’s Whyte of Redhills in the County of Cavan Esq’re 5 with a Cov’t [Covenant] for Ren’l [Renewal] forever at the yearly rent of Twelve pounds with a fine of three pounds on the fall of each life Containing two hundred and Sixty Acres 6 or thereabouts
… and by which Deed of which this is a mem’l the S’d Jn’o Ferguson for the Consid’n [Consideration] therein Ment’d [Mentioned] 7 Did Grant Bargain Sell Release Alien assign and Confirm unto the S’d W’m Nixon the one half Moiety of the s’d Lands of Farator being one hundred and thirty acres or thereabouts
… Excepting thereout thirty three acres for the life of the s’d John Ferguson
… Situate lying and being in the parish of Killishell [Killeeshil] and Barony of Dungannon and County of tyrone [sic] 8
… Subject nevertheless to the paym’t of the yearly Rent of Six pounds Ster’g [Sterling] to be paid to the heirs of Tho’s Whyte Esq’re or to whomsoever Shall be intitled to Receive the same and also one pound Ten Shill’ngs on each Renew’l to be hereafter obtained of the Premises
… which S’d deed is witnessed by Arthur Dunn and W’m Montgomery of the City of Dublin Gent. and this Mem’l is witnessed by the S’d Arthur Dunn and Cha’s M’c Nallow of the s’d City Gent.
