Introduction :

This page provides an index for memorials of Irish deeds executed by the Earl and Countess of Corke & Orrery orse (otherwise) John Boyle and Margaret Hamilton, and their sons.

Upon the marriage in 1738 of John Boyle, Earl of Corke & Orrery, and Miss Margaret Hamilton, heiress of the Caledon estate, the Earl and Countess of Orrery became joint proprietors of the Caledon Estate. The Countess died in 1758, followed by the Earl’s death in 1762. The Earl’s son by his first marriage, Hamilton Boyle, took possession briefly, followed by the son of the Earl by his second marriage (to Margaret Hamilton), Edmund Boyle.
