Introduction :
This page will provide an index for memorials of Irish deeds executed by members of the Mountgarret family. Our interest is in the family of the Rev. John Mountgarret who lived for a time at Ravenhill in the parish of Derrynoose, county Armagh. In 1767, the Rev. Mr. Mountgarret was assigned to the parish (Church of Ireland) of Killevy at Drumbanagher.
This branch intermarried with the Stephenson family of Killyfaddy in the parish of Armagh,† county Armagh.
† Note:—Killyfaddy was one of several townlands carved out of the parish of Armagh and assigned to the parish of Lisnadill when it was created in 1772.
