Emigrants and settlers: Dunford

  • Daisy Winifred Causton née Dunford (1892-1971); born at Bournemouth, Hampshire; emigrated to Canada in 1919. Grandma married Grandad after the Great War, while he was recuperating from his ordeal as a P.O.W. After their marriage, she accompanied him first, to Detroit, Michigan, then to Windsor, Ontario. Daisy was the only one in her family to emigrate.
