  A Memorial of an assignm't or Deed of Sale bear'g date the thirty first day of Aug'st One thous'd Seven Hun'd & fifty Eight made Between James Hamilton & Henry Hamilton of the one part & James Ledlie of Edenderry in the Parish of Belfast & C'o of Antrim of the other part [3]

… & wrote upon the Back of an Indre [Indenture] of Lease bearing date the first day of Aug'st One thous'd Seven Hun'd & thirty Eight made Between the Rev'd & Honble [Honourable] Cha's Caulfield of Castlestewart in the C'o of Tyrone  the Honble Alia Caulfield his wife  the Rev'd Tho's Staples of Derryloran in the C'o aforesaid & Grace his wife of the one part & the s'd James Hamilton & Henry Hamilton of the other part

… Whereby the s'd Cha's Caulfield  Alia Caulfield  Tho's Staples & Graces Staples did Demise & set unto the s'd James Hamilton & Henry Hamilton All that part or Proport'n of Dromore [4] that was then & formerly in the Possn [Possession] of the s'd James & Henry Hamilton & as same was then Meared & Bounded Join'g John Lidlies farm on the one hand & Tannaghmore on the other Cont'g [Containing] by Measure or Esimat'n fifty acres Situate in the Manor of Castlestewart & C'o of Tyrone afores'd

… To hold to the s'd James & H'y Hamilton their Ex'rs [Executors] Adm'rs [Administrators] & Ass's [Assigns] from the first day of Nov'r preceding the date thereof for & during the Nat'l [Natural] life & lives of s'd James & Henry Hamilton & of Rob't M'c Collogh paying thereeout yearly the Rent of Twelve p'ds Ster [Sterling]  two Carrloads of Wheat Straw or Eight pence in lieu thereof with two Men & two Horses or two Shill's [Shillings] in lieu thereof & two Horses for repairing the Roads or two Shill's in lieu  two Men for Scouring Mill dams or Races or one Shill'g in liew  said rent payable half yearly on every first day of May & first day of Nov'r

… By w'ch [which] s'd Assignm't or Deed of Sale the s'd James & Henry Hamilton in Consid'n [Consideration] of the sum of thirty two p'ds one Shill'g & three pence to them in hand paid by the s'd James Lidlie did grant Bargain Sell unto the s'd James Lidlie All that the third part of the s'd Lands of Dromore in the s'd Recited Indre [Indenture] of Lease Ment'd [Mentioned] in as full & ample Manner as same was Possessed by s'd H'y Hamilton with all Houses Build's & appurts [appurtenances] of w't [what] kindsoever

… To hold to s'd James Ledlie [sic] his Ex'rs Adm'rs or Ass's for & during the Lives in the above Recited Indre & herein before Ment'd & also all Benefit of Renewal that may happen on the Expirat'n thereof the s'd James Ledlie paying the rents & Pforming [Performing] the Cov'ts [Covenants] in the s'd Indre of Lease above Recited Ment'd as by the s'd Indre of Lease & the s'd Assignm't wrote upon the Back thereof may more fully & at large appear

… w'ch s'd Assignm't upon the Back of s'd Indre & this Mem'l are Witnessed by Gilbert Ledlie of Killin & Rob't Carson of Stewartstowne both in the C'o of Tyrone Gent
