Speer of east Tyrone

This section of Arborealis presents a series of timelines for descendants of Thomas Speer‡ (d.1636) of Desertoghill, county Londonderry, focusing primarily on the descendants who remained in east TyroneVariant spellings include Speer(e)(s), Spear(e)(s), Spier(e)(s), and Spire(s).

The Speer family of the parishes of Ballyclog and Donaghenry, county Tyrone, were related to Stevenson of Stewartstown, and to Ledlie of Carnan, parish of Arboe. This section includes the branch created by the marriage of Mary Speer and James Hamilton of Newry, merchant.
