Timeline:

  • 1742-01-22: Memorial no. 108-186-75762 – Thomas Ledlie was one of the witnesses to an indenture executed between Phillip Morris of Trickvallan and Gilbert Ledlie, both of the parish of Arboe. [1]
  • 1743-12-24: Memorial no. 119-433-83129 – an indented deed whereby, for the consideration of £317 16s 2p, Gilbert Ledlie conveyed to Thomas Ledlie, also of Carnan, a one-half share in the profit rents issuing from, first, the lease that Gilbert held from the Lord Primate and Phillip Morris in Legmurn and Mullaghrine (parish of Ballyclog), Trickvallan (parish of Arboe), and Lisaclare and Killeen (parish of Clonoe)—yielding £14 16s 4p; and second, the lease he held from Phillip Morris in Legmurn—for which a share in the profit rent was not cited. [2]
☛ One of the witnesses was John Stephenson of Killyfaddy, county Armagh.
  • 1762-07-16: Memorial no. 221-101-144668 – a deed poll executed by John Stephenson and Robert Stephenson; reciting their lease, dated 4th February 1748, held with Thomas Ledlie, from the Primate, in the townlands of Killeen and Lissaclare in the parish of Clonoe, Trickvallan in the parish of Arboe, and Legmurn in the parish of Ballyclog; reciting also that John and Robert had agreed to a partition of their lease, which had been granted to them as tenants in common, such that John would hold Lisaclare and Legmurn and Robert would hold Trickvallen and Killeen; with an endorsement mentioning that, should Thomas Ledlie default on his one-third share of the rental payment, John Stephenson would pay two-thirds of the rent, idemnifying Robert Stephenson from any failure by Thomas Ledlie to pay his share. [3]
