Mr. Garvan was also liable to perform annual duties—either the provision of one fatt Unshorne Mutton, One Bole of Barley, Twelve Fatt Henns, and Six Days' work of Man and horse, or payment of £1 4s—at the election of Mrs. Hamilton. [1]

The lives on the lease included James, John, and Elizabeth, children to William Garvan. The annual rent was £4 18s. 6p., plus 6p. per £ receiver's fees and 6s. 8p. in lieu of duties. After the decease of Mr. and Mrs. Cuming, the one acre would demise to Mr. Garvan, and the annual rent would become £5 6s. with the same receiver's fees and duties. [2]
